PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on June 3:
* Juan Jabar Richards, 706 13th St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of armed robbery, fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Phillip Craig Smith, 54 Horse Run Road, Elizabeth, had a charge of shoplifting dismissed.
* Tina Louise Shears, 19 Double 8 Farm Road, Pennsboro, pleaded guilty to embezzlement, fined $6,128.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation, per a plea made in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Robert Daniel Pennell III, 32954 Bashan Rd., Racine, Ohio, had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth and manufacture, deliver or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Akya Shanyke Wonycott, 1802 Spring St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of receiving and transferring a stolen vehicle. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Aqiera S. Brown, 3033 Howey Rd., Columbus, pleaded guilty to having an expired operator’s license and fined $186.48. A charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Zachary Cole Hopkins, 803 22nd St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to DUI, fined $351.48 and sentenced to one day in jail which was ruled as time served.
* Cody Alan Eversole, 1119 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and fleeing and released on $500 bond.
* Jacob Lee Bowen, 607 Cherry Ave. Apt. D, Williamstown, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a suspended license and released on $500 bond.
* Natasha Katherine Dunn, 607 Cherry Ave. Apt D, Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of having no insurance, driving on a suspended license, speeding and third-offense driving on a suspended license and released on bond.
* Jeff Jon Corra, 1379 Rector Road, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of computer harassment and released on $1,000 bond.
* Halleen Kincaid, 1315 16th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 bond.
* Majed Abdullah Maliki, 3311 Spruce St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on $500 bond.
* Nicholas Alan Taylor, 806 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting, less than $500, possession of counterfeit currency with intent to utter and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and held on $900 bond.
* Freddie Eugene Massey, 1507 30th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of failure to report a crash, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and having improper registration and released on $500 bond.
* Michelle Elizabeth Hutson, 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license and having no MVI sticker and released on $500 bond.
* William E. Vandal Jr., 177 Rector Dr., Creston, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license, having no insurance, going left of center and having improper registration and released on $1,000 bond.
* Jordan M. Martin, 3825 Tuscarawas St. West Apt. 9, Canton, Ohio, pleaded no contest to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on the highway) and fined $181.48.
* Howard Paul Persinger, 1712 Park. St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to unlawful disposal of litter and fined $226.48.
* Lilliah Rose Schmidt, 110 East 209th St., Euclid, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding (86 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $186.48.
* Tanya Mae Jackson, 1305 Newberry Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to expired MVI and fined $181.48.
* Charles Anthony Wine, 1510 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to following too close and fined $186.48.
* Abagail Sue Porter, 7500 Frash Road, Malta, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $191.48.
* Danny Lee Fordyce, 447 Big Tygart Creek Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to failure to obey a traffic control device and fined $186.48.
* Cody Lee Pelfrey, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to improper registration and second-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $457.96.
* Charles II Johnson, 191 Smith Hill, Cairo, pleaded guilty to a cell phone violation and fined $100.
* Kasey Melinda Gilmore, 67980 St. Rt. 124, Reedsville, pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone (66 mph in a 50 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Jennifer Elaine Hogue, 111 Cornerstone Dr., Marietta, pleaded guilty to speeding (80 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Tristan Lee Steerman, 19349 Barbour Co. Highway, Philippi, pleaded no contest to speeding (84 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Madisen Elyssa Millward, 20737 Maxim Parkway, Orlando, Fla., pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on the highway) and fined $181.48.
* Scott A. Dailey, 827 Florence St., Belpre, pleaded no contest to speeding (67 mph in a 45 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Joseph Anthony Lewis, 313 N. Second Ave., Paden City, pleaded no contest to having defective equipment and an electronic device violation and fined $286.48.
