PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 23:

* Jamiel Elam Lambert, 4301 10th Ave. Apt. 301A, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to illegal use of a cell phone and going left of center and fined $281.48.

* Trenton C. Jones, 1770 Pleasant Hill Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (70 mph in a 45 mph zone) and fined $191.48.

* Coty Astin Eddy, 630 Bird St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to nondisplay of license and in possession of hunting, fishing, etc. paraphernalia and fined $196.48.

* Jeffrey Dale Gibson, 105 Dudley Ave., Marietta, pleaded guilty to fishing without a license and fined $196.48

* Kathy Marie Bush, 2595 Trace Fork Road, Sandyville, pleaded guilty to speeding and having no seatbelt and fined $206.48.

* Brittany Denise O’Connell, 216 Main St., Cottageville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $186.48. She was ordered to pay a $50.54 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg. A charge of obstruction with threats of harm was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Robert A. Yoder, 2868 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, pleaded guilty to having improper registration and fined $186.48. A charge of failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Anthony Lee Scritchfield, 251 Belleville Dr., Belleville, pleaded guilty to failure to provide proof of properly disposing of solid waste and fined $226.48.

* Matthew Allan Moore, Mineral Wells, had charges of domestic violence and domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.

* Jay Thomas Fauss, 27 Spruce St., Davisville, pleaded guilty to DUI and fined $351.48.

* Lissa Ann Hefner, 93 Emerald Dr., Davisville, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and fined $676.48. She was ordered to pay a $1,585.88 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna. A charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Sarah Beth Wright, 628¢ 33rd. St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and fined $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.

* Aaron Nathaniel White, 356 Winding Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing from law enforcement, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. A charge of attempt to commit a misdemeanor was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Julian David Hernandez, 30 Ironstone Court Apt. F, Annapolis, Md., pleaded guilty to fleeing and shoplifting and fined $422.96. He was ordered to pay a $1,092.38 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna. A charge of obstruction was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jeffrey Thomas Johnson, 909 18th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of strangulation dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim said she was the initial aggressor and does not wish to pursue.

* Kyle David Bryant, 1721 Staunton Turnpike, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and fined $276.48.

* John Daniel Emerson, 2302 Randolph Dr., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of malicious or unlawful assault. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Jeremiah Jacob Lyons, 195 South 6th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Lewis F. Holcomb, 712 Grafton St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of embezzlement and released on $15,000 bond.

* Indica Arie Reil, 3508 Central Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and held on $500 bond.

* Cynthia Ann Szczesny, homeless, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction and held on $2,000 bond.

* Coleman J. Elder, 630 McGill Rd., Vincent, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of having no seatbelt and released on $100 bond.

* Juan Jabar Richards, 706 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of armed robbery and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond with a hearing on bond to be set in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Zackery Lee Dunham, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $3,000 bond.

* Rex L. Nolan, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of having fishing paraphernalia and fishing without a license and released on $500 bond.

* Roxianne Marie Drennen, 122 S. Fifth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 bond.

* Ronnie Lee Lockhart Jr., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and held on $2,500 bond.

* Derek Robert Chrisman, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on $500 bond.

* Louis Delford Haddad, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $500 bond.

* Robert Danile Pennell III, 32594 Bashan Road, Racine, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (fentanyl/heroin) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (Xanax) and held on $75,000 bond.

* James Michael Crumpler, 443 Marrtown Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication, obstruction, battery of a police officer, assault on an officer and disorderly conduct and held on $2,100 bond.

* Mindi Lea Lee, 11 Joyceville Trailer Park, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI with a BAC of less than .15, and released on $1,000 bond.

* Angela Jenkins, 6856 Pike St. Apt. 5, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of worthless check and released on $500 bond.
