Police today circulated security video Wednesday of a van that fatally injured a 31-year-old woman who was pushing a shopping cart on a road in Northridge, as detectives sought the public’s help to find the hit-and-run driver.
The crash occurred around 2:55 a.m. Monday on Tampa Avenue and Business Center Drive, north of Parthenia Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department Detective Jonathan Otrosina of the Valley Traffic Division.
“She was struck from behind by a white Chevrolet Express van with side windows and front-end collision damage,” Otrosina said in a statement. “The driver of the van continued northbound on Tampa Avenue and made a right turn to eastbound Nordhoff Street.”
She was later identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Kristen Long.
The city has a standing reward offer of up to $50,000 for information leading to a conviction in a fatal hit-and-run.
