European Best Destinations just released its annual report on the top places in Europe to visit this year, based on recommendations from more than 1.2 million travelers across 158 countries. The top 20 were chosen for their quality of life, sustainable development, cultural offerings and other factors. This year, Monaco was named the top destination in Europe with Riga, Latvia and Dubrovnik, Croatia rounding out the top three.
