2024 was a pretty wild year. If you’ve been following PokerOrg, you’ll know there have been some huge breaking stories throughout the year, including one that came from the biggest tournament, deep in the 2024 WSOP Main Event.
But which were the biggest?
PokerOrg Player Advisory Board member Joey Ingram and Doug Polk have joined forces to grade them in a pretty unique way. The 2024 Poker Story Draft sees them each get a pick in turn before ending up with five stories each and reasons why they think they’re so important, along with some honorable mentions that just miss the cut, like ACR’s $100K Bot Bounty challenge. And what about their plans for 2025? Polk delivered some good news to fans of his comedic content: “I’d rather just focus on the funny side of poker… trying to do funny material. I just haven’t seen many people do it and I don’t think I’ve seen many people doing it at the level I think we can do it on my channel.”
By contrast, you can expect to see more of Joey at the table and likely playing more No-Limit Hold’em than PLO: “I’ll probably have my biggest poker year of all time in terms of [playing].”
And both are down to do more shows together, which is something we can all get behind.
