‘Black Friday’ is not a phrase that poker players like to hear – at least those who were playing online back in 2011 – but GGPoker is making a move to try and remove the sting from the term.
The online platform is applying the more recent meaning of the phrase, following many other retailers in holding a post-Thanksgiving Black Friday Sale. GGPoker’s Black Friday Week runs November 25 to December 2, and will see a range of discounts applied to many of its biggest tournaments.
Guaranteed prize pools will remain in place for 90 tournaments across the week, but buy-ins for the tourneys will be reduced – by up to 90% in the case of the GGMaster Bounty.
That means you can play a $108 buy-in tournament for just $10.80 on Saturday November 30, which should mean a huge field and an even bigger first prize for your budget entry.
At least seven discounted tournaments every day
At least 90 tournaments will be discounted during Black Friday Week, with a choice of events available each day. Highlights of the discounted schedule include:

- GGMasters, $500K GTD – 40% discount ($90 down from $150)
- Saturday Session: GGMasters Bounty, $100K GTD – 90% discount ($10.80 down from $108)
