The under 19 student category sports competition started at Government Excellent Senior Secondary School, Theog. 550 children from 24 schools of Theog zone are participating in this three-day sports competition. Retired Physical Teacher Shyam Singh Verma attended as the chief guest and took the salute of the attractive march past presented by the players. Retired CHT Shivdatt Sharma was present as the special guest.
Shyam Singh Verma said in his address that he has spent his entire life in sports and sports play an important role especially in the life of a student. He said that through sports, children develop in all aspects which instills self-respect, self-reliance, punctuality and a sense of competition in students which proves useful in achieving their life goals.
Before this, Principal Sandeep Sharma welcomed the chief guest and gave detailed information about the organization of this three-day sports competition. He expressed gratitude for the cooperation given by SMC, local Panchayat, Mahila Mandal. Rajendra Verma played the role of chief guest in the cultural competition organized on this occasion. On this occasion, Principal Sandeep Sharma organized a feast for all the players and other people who came to the competition in memory of his late father Keshav Ram Sharma.
