The Royal Clipper may look as though she departed from 1825, but she is, in fact, a 21st century cruise ship—and offers itineraries in Italy, Croatia and the Caribbean. The world’s largest fully-rigged, five-masted cruise ship, the 439-foot-long ship (listed in Guinness World Records for her size) was built in 2000, and can accommodate 227 passengers in more than 100 outside cabins and 16 suites. A new report from AirlineRatings.com names the world’s safest airlines for 2025. In creating its annual list, the site factors in everything from recent fatal accidents to safety initiatives to fleet age. Among full-service carriers, Air New Zealand was named the world’s safest airline. Qantas was ranked second and Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Qatar Airways were tied for third. When it comes to major U.S. carriers, Alaska Airlines remains the top-ranked airline for 2025, moving up one spot to No. 9 overall.
