Den of Thieves 2: Pantera Trailer

Lionsgate revealed the first trailer for Den of Thieves 2 this week, offering our first look at Gerard Butler’s latest action flick.

Gerard Butler (Plane, Has Fallen series) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Out of Compton, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) return in the sequel to 2018’s action-heist hit Den of Thieves. In DEN OF THIEVES: PANTERA, Big Nick (Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (Jackson), who is embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera hits theaters on January 10, 2025.

The developers behind the new A Quiet Place game released a new video “diary” this week, showing off the hide-and-seek gameplay style.

First Trailer for Hulu’s Horror Film, Mr. Crocket

This week brought the first look at the upcoming original horror film, Mr. Crocket, set to debut as part of “Huluween” next month.

In 1993, a mysterious children’s show host, Mr. Crocket, magically emerges from television sets to kidnap young children, brutally slaying their parents in the process. After Mr. Crocket snatches her son, one determined mother embarks on a perilous quest to track down the demonic entertainer and rescue her boy.

Mr. Crocket arrives October 11, 2024 exclusively on Hulu.

Dive Deep into Starfield’s Shattered Space Expansion

Bethesda released a lengthy new deep dive video for the upcoming Starfield: Shattered Space expansion that arrives later this month.

In Shattered Space, Starfield’s first major expansion, players will visit the homeworld of House Va’ruun for the first time. Explore a fully handcrafted new location and unravel the mysteries surrounding the followers of the Great Serpent. House Va’ruun is on the brink of collapse and their people need help finding a path forward. When your sudden presence on their hidden home planet is seen by some as divine intervention, it’s up to you to restore House Va’ruun and decide the fate of this secretive faction.

Starfield: Shattered Space hits Xbox Series X|S and PCs on September 30th.

Cuckoo Home Entertainment Release

NEON announced the home entertainment release dates for the Hunter Schafer starring horror flick, Cuckoo. You can watch it digitally NOW, but will have to wait until October 22nd for the physical release.

CUCKOO tells the story of 17-year-old Gretchen (Schafer) who leaves her American home to live with her father and moves into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König (Stevens), her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. Something doesn’t seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family.

The West Wing Comes to Blu-Ray

To celebrate the iconic series’ 25th anniversary, Warner Bros. is bringing The West Wing to blu-ray for the first time ever.

Created by Aaron Sorkin who executive produced with Thomas Schlamme and John Wells, The West Wing stars Rob Lowe , Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff, John Spencer, Bradley Whitford, and Martin Sheen. The series was produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

 

The West Wing, which originally aired on NBC from 1999 to 2006, garnered widespread acclaim with three Golden Globe Awards, two Peabody Awards, and 26 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series for four consecutive seasons (2000-2003). This year, the groundbreaking series celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The West Wing hits blu-ray on October 1, 2024.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Full Roster Revealed

This week, Bandai Namco revealed the full (launch) roster for the Budokai Tenkaichi follow-up, which will apparently feature 181 characters!

The final tally may surprise fans who speculated on the number of characters in the game based on a ‘honeycomb’ graphic that filled up with each new character reveal. Today, Bandai Namco shattered expectations by unveiling the complete roster. The 27 new fighters added to the final roster of 181 fighters now feature iconic characters from DRAGON BALL Z original feature films joining the battle. The roster additions include Broly (Z), Broly (Z) Super Saiyan, and Broly (Z) Legendary Super Saiyan from the 1993 film Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan. Cooler, in both his Final Form and Metal Cooler versions, from Cooler’s Revenge and The Return of Cooler, also make an appearance. Additionally, Android 13 and Fusion Android 13 from Super Android 13, Super Garlic Jr. from Dead Zone, Dr. Wheelo from The World’s Strongest, Lord Slug and his Giant Form from Lord Slug, Turles from The Tree of Might, and Bojack alongside Full-Power Bojack from Bojack Unbound complete the expanded lineup.

 

Following the epic defeat of Majin Buu, DRAGON BALL Super takes the action to new heights and incorporates the Universe 6 Saiyans, Cabba along with his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 forms, and Frost into the roster. The roster also includes Toppo, the formidable God of Destruction from the Pride Troopers of Universe 11 as well as the notorious Frieza Force Soldier.

Two Point Museum Release Date Revealed

Sega and Two Point Studios announced the release date for Two Point Museum this week, while opening up pre-orders for the game.

With pre-orders going live, Two Point Studios has also revealed the Explorer Edition of Two Point Museum, featuring exclusive content and the Sonic themed “Pre-Order Pack”.

 

Purchasing the Explorer Edition rewards players with an exciting variety of features, including a unique jungle-themed museum location. Owners of the Explorer Edition will also receive access to a museum challenge that unlocks special items upon completion, such as decorative and gameplay enhancing items. The digital Explorer Edition also includes five days advanced access starting on February 27th.

 

Pre-ordering Two Point Museum unlocks access to a spectacular Sonic-themed collection of items including Sonic and Shadow staff outfits, guest gift shop outfits and plushies for museum guests to purchase. Bonus museum customisation options will also feature Sonic wallpaper, flooring and decorative statues.

First official Poster for Nosferatu

The first poster for Robert Eggers’ upcoming Nosferatu remake arrived this week, and looks insanely gorgeous. Simple and to the point, it brings the spooky with minimal effort.

Robert Eggers’ NOSFERATU is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.

Nosferatu hits theaters on December 25, 2024.

The Bad Batch Returns in Comic Form

Fans of Star Wars: The Bad Batch have all new adventures to enjoy, thanks to the announcement of a new limited series comic coming from Dark Horse Comics.

The experimental Clone Force 99 are not your average clones— they’re the baddest clone troopers in the galaxy! Dark Horse Comics brings the Bad Batch into their first solo comics miniseries, debuting in the Hyperspace Stories line of comic mini-series, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents. This five-issue miniseries is written by Michael Moreci (Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories, Burning Fields) and illustrated by Reese Hannigan (Black Spot, Terminus), with Elisabetta D’Amico (Black Widow, Cloak and Dagger), Michael Atiyeh (Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora) and lettering by Comicraft (Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories—Qui-Gon, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures).

 

Fans will enjoy cover art by Valeria “Lux” Favoccia (Stranger Things, By A Thread) across the series, and variant cover art by French Carlomagno (The Dead Lucky, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories Volume 1) for each issue.
