The six youths who were arrested at the scene have spent the night in custody but no charges have been laid at this stage.

It follows an unrelated fatal shopping centre food court stabbing in Melbourne’s west last month.

Oscar Hamilton, 16, died after being stabbed at Woodgrove Shopping Centre in Melton in September 24.

He had been eating at the centre’s outdoor food court with friends when he was stabbed in front of school holiday lunchtime diners.
