SPRINGFIELD & CENTRAL ILLINOIS FORECAST

AMAZING CONDITIONS TO END THE WEEKEND BEFORE A SLIGHT COOL DOWN FOR MONDAY

SUNDAY NIGHT: Isolated thunderstorm before mostly cloudy skies. Low: 56

MONDAY: Cooler with partly cloudy skies and calm conditions. High: 74 Low: 54

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies with a slight warm up. High: 79 Low: 59

WEDNESDAY: Warm and humid conditions (Heat indexes in the upper 80s low 90s). High: 88 Low: 66

THURSDAY: Hot & humid conditions and mostly sunny skies (Heat Indexes in the mid to upper 90s). High: 91 Low: 69

Happy Sunday! We have had very nice conditions today and that will remain through the evening. There’s a chance that blowing dust could occur in some places due to the low humidity and wind out of the north. As we go overnight, a cold front will move through the area, and temperatures will cool down. Monday will be in the mid to low 70s, but mostly sunny skies and wind out of the north.

The cooler temperatures will stay for Tuesday, with temperatures in the upper 70s. Conditions will be dry, but mostly sunny skies should help keep the days pleasant. Wednesday will start to warm up trend with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s and humid conditions. This will lead to heat indexes into 90 with mostly sunny skies. Thursday and Friday will be hot and humid, with high temperatures in the low 90s, and heat indexes could be in the upper 90s in some areas. With these conditions, it is possible for isolated showers to form, but overall we don’t expect much rain for the next 7 days. The very warm and humid conditions will likely remain through Father’s Day weekend, with temperatures in the upper 80s and low 90s.

Have a great week!
