- The Union Law Ministry On Thursday notified the Rajya Sabha that there are currently 357 vacant judge positions across various High Courts in the country, with the Allahabad High Court experiencing the highest number of vacancies.
- Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday announced that the Maharashtra government will establish onion banks in various locations to aid farmers growing this perishable crop. During a review meeting of the initiative, the CM explained that onions will be stored using solar energy, enabling farmers to hold onto their produce until they secure better prices. The project will launch in Rahuri, Ahmednagar, with additional facilities to be set up promptly in Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Solapur—areas known for high onion production, according to the CM.
