Lufthansa Group has made its NDC-based content available to Sabre-connected agencies in its home markets of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.
The European aviation giant, which also owns Austrian Airlines, Swiss and Brussels Airlines, started rolling out its NDC content on Sabre platforms in other regions last year – its home markets are the last to activate NDC fares and servicing capabilities.
The latest move makes Lufthansa Group’s NDC content available to Sabre-connected agencies and TMCs in more than 100 countries.
Lufthansa’s leisure carrier Discover Airlines’ NDC fares have also been introduced through Sabre platforms alongside content from the group’s other airlines.
Heinrich Lange, vice president of digital retailing at Lufthansa Group, said: “Expanding our NDC footprint with Sabre reinforces our commitment to providing travel agencies with modern retailing capabilities.
“By making our NDC offers more widely available, we are ensuring that travellers have access to a richer and more tailored shopping experience, wherever they book.”
Agencies can register through the Sabre Central Marketplace to activate the content and shop, book and service NDC offers through Sabre’s Offer and Order APIs, the Sabre Red 360 agency booking solution and Sabre Red Launchpad.
The content is also available through multiple corporate online booking tools, including SAP Concur, GetThere, Zeno by Serko and Atriis.
Kathy Morgan, SVP of product management – distribution experiences at Sabre Travel Solutions, added: “By expanding Lufthansa Group’s NDC footprint, we are providing travel sellers with more choice, flexibility, and efficiency – helping them better serve travellers while facilitating a smooth transition to real-time retailing.”
