SAP Concur has made Ryanair’s fares and schedules live in the new updated version of the Concur Travel booking platform.
The direct connection means that business travellers using the “new” Concur Travel can access Ryanair’s entire range of fares, including its lowest prices, ancillary products and “enhanced flexibility” when booking. They will also not incur the surcharges that are levied on Ryanair bookings made through the GDSs.
Concur has been rolling out the new booking platform to clients in Europe this year. SAP Concur also confirmed to BTN Europe that Ryanair content will not be available through its earlier versions of Concur Travel.
The two companies initially agreed a distribution deal in late 2023, which will also see Ryanair’s content being integrated via Concur TripLink during the first half of next year.
Paul Dear, SAP Concur’s regional vice president of supplier services EMEA, said: “Everything we’ve built with Ryanair aims to connect them to the wider business travel industry in the most seamless, effective, and productive way.
“Ryanair wanted to bring its travel options to the corporate world and came to us as they see SAP Concur as a trustworthy partner thanks to our transparent customer paths.”
Dara Brady, chief marketing officer at Ryanair, added that making its content live on the new Concur Travel portal was “great news for the business travel world”.
“Our low fares and high-frequency schedules cater perfectly for business travel, saving money and time for businesses,” said Brady.
The agreement between SAP Concur and Ryanair also allows registered users to bypass the carrier’s controversial online booking verification process, which requires facial recognition and is now the subject of an inquiry by Ireland’s data regulator.
Ryanair has also signed distribution deals with travel tech companies Kyte and Travelfusion this year.
