PokerStars debuts week-long Phased Sunday Million with daily flights

Must read

PokerStars has done it again. The site’s famed Sunday Million tournament long ago solidified its status as one of the most iconic weekly online poker events. Over the course of the tournament’s 19-year run, PokerStars has tinkered with the format – adding Progressive Knockouts to the mix here, trying Mystery Bounties there – while also maintaining the tournament’s high level of prestige and always with a minimum of $1,000,000 guaranteed

This time, PokerStars has introduced a Phased Sunday Million tournament, with Phase 1 events starting Sunday, February 16 and running throughout the week until Phase 2 play begins the following Sunday, February 23.

Most convenient Sunday Million grind ever

The variation of starting times for Phase 1 flights makes for the most convenient Sunday Million grind ever, allowing all players a chance to build a stack for Phase 2 no matter their weekly schedule. Plus, with the large number of Phase 1 flights on offer, you can take as many shots at making Phase 2 as you like.

PokerStars has launched a Phased Sunday Million, running February 16-23.

The $109 buy-in, $1M GTD event will have numerous Phase 1 flights, in both turbo and slow structures, and the full schedule is available now. The Phased Sunday Million follows a simple format. Players who make it through a Phase 1 event will automatically make the money and move on to Phase 2. From there, the remaining Phase 2 players will play down to a winner on Sunday, February 23 – a contrast to the regular Sunday Million, which sees the tournament conclude the next day on Monday.
