Brad Owen joined forces with fellow poker players and content creators Doug Polk and Andrew Neeme to purchase The Lodge Poker Club & Card Room in Austin, Texas back in early 2022.
The venture has been successful enough to see the ownership look to expand via the acquisition of a card room in San Antonio last year. The Lodge Card Club Austin now sports 68 tables, with plenty of daily cash game action and frequent tournament offerings, including festivals like the ongoing 2025 Lodge Winter Championship Series.
Owen, who has 768,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel, found himself in the winner’s circle at his own card room on Thursday, Feb. 27. He outlasted a field of 28 entries in the $5,000 buy-in high roller, taking home $59,634 and the tournament’s trophy as the last player standing. The win seemingly came at a good time, as Owen had posted on social media before this event began about being stuck a quarter of a million dollars while playing at the venue.

This win brought Owen’s recorded tournament earnings to nearly $1.2 million. This was his second title, having previously won a $2,200 H.O.R.S.E. event at last year’s World Poker Tour World Championship.
There was $129,640 in total prize money up for grabs in this tournament, which took a single day to complete. The final table was broadcast on the Poker At The Lodge YouTube Channel, which recently won Global Poker Awards Fan’s Choice Best Live Stream honors.
Owen entered the final table as the shortest stack, but still had plenty of room to maneuver with 35 big blinds. He scored the first knockout of the day to move into a virtual tie for the chip lead.
Owen then won a big one with deuces full besting the flopped top two of his opponent San Kim, having hit running deuces after flopping top pair and a flush draw with K2
out of the big blind. With that, Own took a commanding lead as four-handed play continued.
Kim was later eliminated in fourth place ($12,965) when his A-Q was outflopped by Owen’s A-10.
Owen scored the next knockout with pocket kings, making kings full of fives on the turn and shoving on the end. His opponent, Bogdan Munteanu, made a hero call with A-Q high to finish third for $20,742.
Heads-up play began with Owen holding 969,000 to the 151,000 of Terry Morales. The final hand saw all the chips go in with Owen holding A5
against the K
Q
of his opponent. The board came down 8
