The 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise $25,000 buy-in super main event sported a massive $50,000,000 guarantee, the largest in tournament poker history. On Dec. 16, registration officially closed with 1,978 total entries. That meant that the top 297 finishers made the money, with the min-cash set at $50,000. The top eight finishers will walk away with seven-figure paydays, with the eventual champion set to earn $6,000,000.

There were 1,124 entries made across the four live starting flights, and another 254 day 2 late registrants. With 600 online players, that brought the total to 1,978.
Action concluded on day 2 with the elimination of 17-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth on the $50,000 money bubble. The 60-year-old Poker Hall of Famer was eliminated by high-stakes livestream star Alan Keating. Hellmuth got all-in preflop for his last few big blinds with AK facing the 43 of Paulius Vaitiekunas and 76 of Keating. Hellmuth was the only one at risk, with his opponents checking it down through a Q52107 runout. Keating showed his rivered pair of sevens to take the pot and bring the day to a close. He ended the night with a healthy stack of 4,350,000.
