A few months after Samsung announced the Galaxy Ring, ŌURA has unveiled its latest innovation, the Oura Ring 4. Introduced today via news release, the Oura Ring 4 is designed to provide even greater accuracy and comfort. The announcement highlights the ring’s advanced personal health tracking capabilities, setting new wearable tech market standards.
Notably, the Oura Ring 4 introduces Smart Sensing, a breakthrough in health tracking technology. This system utilizes an advanced algorithm and research-grade sensors that dynamically adapt to the user’s finger anatomy, delivering precise health data around the clock. Smart Sensing allows the ring to monitor key metrics such as heart rate and blood oxygen levels with unmatched accuracy.
ŌURA emphasizes that Smart Sensing improves signal quality and reduces data gaps, particularly during sleep monitoring. This enhanced accuracy is a step forward for users seeking deeper insights into their health, as it allows them to track long-term metrics such as cardiovascular health and stress resilience.
The Oura Ring 4 comes with improved design
The Oura Ring 4’s design also received a significant update, with a lightweight, all-titanium construction. The new design features recessed sensors, providing a smooth interior for better comfort during 24/7 wear. This ensures users can track their health without feeling discomfort. The ring’s thinner profile, combined with the Smart Sensing technology, strikes a balance between accuracy and wearability, making it a strong contender in the smart ring market.
ŌURA has also expanded the size range for the Oura Ring 4, offering twelve sizes, ranging from 4 to 15. In addition to size variations, customers can choose from six distinct colors, including an updated Black finish with a tungsten PVD coating that offers improved durability.
The company has also rolled out a redesigned Oura App. The updated app simplifies the health tracking process, providing users with an intuitive interface that connects daily behaviors to long-term health outcomes. Available for both iOS and Android users, the app allows for personalized insights into sleep, activity, and cardiovascular health.
The new app interface is organized into three sections—Today, Vitals, and My Health—offering users a more streamlined experience. Thus, it might give the Galaxy Ring tough competition.
