The city council approved the motion made by Councilman Steve Pallisco and seconded by Councilwoman Iris Isaacs with a unanimous vote.

The sealed bids for the Williams Cemetery Boundary Survey project were opened with Moody Land Surveying LLC from St. Marys coming in with the lowest bid of $5,000, Biedenbach Land Surveying LLC of Woodsfield, Ohio bid $5,500, and Corner Land Surveying LLC of Sistersville entered a bid of $6,500. The council will look over the bids before awarding it to Moody Land if everything is in order for completion of the project.

The approval by the council was given unanimously for a new streetlight to be installed at Mound Street in Steelton.

Mayor Nelson read the third and final reading of the proclamation of the AAA Water and Sewer project.

The council gave the mayor the approval unanimously to sign the eligible entity letter for submission for the fiscal year 2025 EPA.

Bev Gibb reported that she has been working with ECS (Engineering Consulting Service) . They are doing an assessment and submitting for a grant of $250,000 and developing a plan for an engineering architect to go out to bid for the splash pad at Bruce Park. There will be no matching funds for the grant by the city and ECS is just doing it for the city. Gibb said, this is huge for our city projects, ECS is not charging for their services.
