Netflix has decided to discontinue some of its content.
The popular streaming platform will get rid of a large part of its interactive content, i.e. up to 20 of the 24 existing “interactive specials”.
The change takes effect on Dec. 1, and the purge will outlive “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy Vs. the Reverend”, “Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls” and “You vs. Wild.”
Some specials, on the other hand, will be discontinued, which is a rather inglorious end to a technology that once had a lot of promise.
Company spokeswoman Chrissy Kelleher told The Verge that the feature “served its purpose, but will be limited from now on as Netflix focuses on technological advances in other areas.”
