Live MB Action at the 2024 WSOP
This year’s World Series of Poker schedule features 99 events with a wide variety of buy-ins, formats, and game variations. This includes several Mystery Bounty events.
The first of these, and arguably the most attractive one of the lot, is already in the books. The $1,000 Mystery Millions event attracted 18,409 entries and generated a massive prize pool of $16.2 million.
The event was quite a spectacle, as several players walked away with seven-figure paydays. The event winner, Australia’s Malcolm Trayner, picked up a cool million, having outlasted the huge field. However, two other players picked up a $1,000,000 Mystery Bounty each long before the final table. These were won during the Day 2 action by Valentyn Shabelnyk and DJ Buckley.
Luckily, there are a couple more MB events still to come, and although they’re not quite as big as Mystery Millions, fans of the format are guaranteed to enjoy them. The remaining two both kick off in July:
- July 1 — Event #76 – $10,000 Mystery Bounty No Limit Hold’em
- July 9-10 — Event #86 — 1,000 Mystery Bounty PLO
The slight problem is that the NLH event comes with a pretty hefty price tag, and not everyone is into PLO. Luckily, the online leg of the 2024 WSOP offers some alternatives.
WSOP Online Mystery Bounty Action
As mentioned, with the new software in place, players in New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan get to enjoy everything WSOP has to offer on a fresh platform that combines player pools from these three states. This includes tournaments played in the Mystery Bounty format.
In total, the WSOP online bracelets schedule features three MB events, and all of them are still to come.
The most interesting by far is Event #11 on June 23. This is a $500 Mystery Bounty event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 and the top bounty of $100,000. If you love this format, this is one event that you don’t want to miss out on as we expect it to actually smash its guarantee.
For the fans of Pot Limit Omaha, there is Event #17 on July 5. This MB tournament offers a generous guarantee of $500,000 and the top bounty of $50,000.
A couple of days later, on July 7, Event #19 is on the docket. This is another $1,000,000 GTD tournament with the top MB of $100,000, and the only difference between this one and Event #11 is the buy-in, as the July 7 tournament comes with a $1,000 admission fee.
Finally, towards the end of the online bracelets series, there is one more MB tournament, the $500,000 GTD Event #27. With a buy-in of $400 and the top bounty of $50,000, it’s one last shot at some juicy bounties.
