Last Saturday morning as the sun’s light touched a very chilly Main Street, it welcomed several hundred families.

They had gathered at the ACTS of Charitable Mission to take part in the warm offering of charity sponsored by the mission and supported by businesses and charity of people.

For the last five years the Mission had opened its doors and given its faith and charity to members of the community. Nothing is asked in return except to bring a bit of joy to families and children at this time of year to all faiths.

Pastor Tim Aenders has lived in the community since 2014. Originally from southern West Virginia he has spent a good bit of his life working for the Oil & Gas Industry. That work brought him to the community. His ministry believes that outreach to the community helps to return Jesus into all our lives.

The annual event has taken much planning and could not take place without sponsors and the many members of the Mission who help to put the event together. It is a good thing the Mission brings to the town and community.
