Michael S. O’Neill, 68, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on June 24, 2024 at his home after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.
He was born in Spokane, WA on March 3, 1956, the son of John O’Neill and Cubazell (Bates) O’Neill. He was raised and educated in Spokane, and after moving to New Hampshire, he continued with his education, having earned his BS Degree in Computer Science from SNHU, Manchester, NH, in 1991.
Michael had been employed for Digital Equipment Corporation as a software engineer for many years. He was currently working at Home Depot in Salem, NH for the past five years.
Michael was a longtime member of the Milford Council Knights of Columbus #3035.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Timothy O’Neill.
Family members include his wife, Myria O’Neill of Milford, NH; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Pawlina of Milford and her daughter, Katelyn Pawlina of Spencer, MA; two sisters, Eva O’Neill and Laura O’Neill, both of Eugene, OR; a brother, Patrick O’Neill of Eugene, OR; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH, followed by a reception in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
