The under-14 sports competition for girls, which was going on for the last three days at Government Senior Secondary School, Janedghat, concluded on Friday. In which MPS Mashobra School got the title of overall champion. Government Senior Secondary School Koti stood first in volleyball and Government Senior Secondary School Peeran stood first in Kho-Kho. While Government Senior Secondary School Baldaiyaan got the first position in Kabaddi, Badminton, and Judo.
Similarly, Government Senior Secondary School Bhattakufar secured first position in the speech competition Dhali School secured second position, MPS Mashobra secured first position in solo song, classical music, and one-act play competition, Dabri secured first position in group song and MPS Mashobra secured second position. Government Secondary School Dehra Dohai secured first position in chess and Mashobra secured first position in judo and yoga.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Anita Gupta, Sports Coordinator and Principal, Government Excellence Secondary School, Mashobra, and trophies and prizes were distributed to the winner and runner-up girl players. She also inaugurated the block-level Under-14 sports competition for students in the school which will continue till 15th July.
Earlier, the Principal of the local school Dr. Sohan Ranta while welcoming the chief guest and all the participants said that about three hundred female students of 22 senior secondary, high, and middle schools participated in this three-day sports competition. He expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries who made their invaluable contribution in the successful organization of the sports competition.
On this occasion, SMC President Mahesh Dutt Sharma, Kesar Singh, OP Sharma, Pankaj Tilta, Sports Incharge Nand Lal, Assistant Sports Incharge Rupendra Singh, Physical Teachers from various schools, local school staff and children were present. On this occasion, the girl students mesmerized the people by presenting a colourful cultural programme.
