Must read

It is with a Heavy Heart that we announce the passing of Our Beloved Mother, Mary A. Sousa, 83 of Nashua, NH. Our Mom passed away peacefully on Friday July 26th 2024 with her loving family by her side. Mary was born August 19, 1940 in Somerville, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Manuel and Emma Pacheco (Corlin).

Mary worked for Teradyne in Nashua, NH for many years.

Mary Enjoyed Life! She had a love for flowers and was always in her yard gardening. She happily enjoyed feeding and watching all of the birds that would come and take shelter in the bird hotels Our Dad had built over the years. She enjoyed bingo every now and then and she was one of the best cookie makers you’ve ever met. She also enjoyed crocheting and she just couldn’t go without those scratch tickets. She loved and enjoyed Our family immensely, having her grandchildren sleepover, hosting BBQ’s, and spending time with Our family pool side in the Summer time. She was a spitfire who enjoyed an occasional fireball shot with her kids, taking trips to Maine, and she loved playing cards and taking trips to Foxwoods. She also loved her Friends and they also became a big part of her family! And then there’s her dog Louie. Mary will truly miss her 4-legged companion. He will always hold a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her 3 children, Robert Sousa, Jr. and his wife Cindy Sousa of Nashua NH, Emma Noel and her husband Steve Noel of Hudson NH, Joyce Friberg of Dunnellon Florida.; four granddaughters, Kristina Friberg, Kiara Sousa, Kayla Sousa and Kacie Sousa; four grandsons, Ken Friberg, Matthew Desautels, Jorge Girlado and Bryce Pouliot and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ava, Emileigh, Hayden, Harper and Kaelynn and many nieces, nephews, cousins, additional family and friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband Robert L. Sousa, Sr., who she loved with all of her heart, her granddaughter Dallas McNeill, and her grandson Kraig Friberg.

Mary is one of 8 children – She is pre-deceased by all of her siblings: brothers, Donald, Johnny, Bobby, Gilbert and Richard Pacheco, and sisters, Carole Corbin and Shirley Hanson.

Our Family would like to extend our gratitude for all of the Love and Support we received from Friends, Family and the caring staff at Southern NH Medical Center.

Mary will Always be remembered for her generous nature and Love for her Family and Friends.

There will be no services. Mary wanted to be remembered surrounded by Family and Friends enjoying love, laughter and sharing wonderful stories. A Private Celebration of Life will be held in August to honor her. Mary would have turned 84 on August 19th. She will be Forever Loved and Sorely Missed!
