Gingery
Lee A. Gingery, 68, Altoona, died Thursday afternoon at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Roy A. and Lois M. (Colyer) Gingery.
On Aug. 15, 1995, he married Susan A. Karle at the Blair County Courthouse, Hollidaysburg.
He is survived by his wife; and three sisters: Bonnie (Don) Park, Linda Green and Jeneane Messner.
Lee was a 1974 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High school, and in 2000, he earned his bachelor’s degree at Penn State University. He retired as a parole officer at Blair County Adult Parole and Probation. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Altoona.
An avid golfer, he was also a railroad train enthusiast and enjoyed collecting coins. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved Yorkie dogs, Olivia Sue and Magie May.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, the Rev. Fred Hickok officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Lee’s memory be made to the Susquehanna Conference of United Methodist Church.
