Kristen Foxen (cover image) and her husband, Alex Foxen, are on a phenomenal online run. Just a week ago, they had five WSOP bracelets between them. Now, that number has climbed to seven. Just days after Alex won his second WSOP bracelet in the WSOP Online $200K Event #17: $500 PLO GTD Mystery Bounty 6-Max on the shared liquidity site open to players in Michigan, Nevada, and New Jersey, Kristen has picked up her fifth.
Playing under the screen name ‘Saraswati’—also the name of the Hindu goddess of learning and knowledge—Kristen skillfully worked her way through a field of 311 entries in WSOP Online Event #19: $1,000 NLH 6-Max. She claimed the gold bracelet and $56,703 in prize money, extending her lead as the woman with the most WSOP bracelets, now two ahead of a talented bunch tied with three each.
In an exciting heads-up duel, Kristen defeated ‘dmatkr,’ who took home $42,163. This victory marks Kristen’s third consecutive online bracelet win. She won her fourth bracelet in the 2023 WSOP Online Event #6: $888 NLH Crazy 8 and her third during the inaugural WSOP Online festival in 2020, with the first two coming in live events.
Kristen has nearly $8.50 million in career tournament winnings, making her the second-highest-earning female player of all time, behind only Vanessa Selbst, who has $11.90 Million. She ranks 13th on Canada’s all-time money list, and this achievement enhances her prospects for induction into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) Class of 2024, with voting currently open.
The Canadian poker star also nearly made history this past summer by becoming the second woman ever to reach the WSOP Main Event final table. Unfortunately, she bowed out in 13th place following a mistimed all-in jam against Joe Serock.
The $1,000 buy-in WSOP Online Event #19 – NLH 6-Max, held on October 24, created a prize pool of $290,785 and the top 40 players cashed.
