PokerStars is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its flagship live poker event, the European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona, with another edition of the festival that’s become a true staple of the yearly live poker calendar.
Starting September 1, PokerStars will be running daily freeroll tournaments for all the players who tune into the EPT Barcelona live streams, with a total of $20,000 in WCOOP 2024 tickets to be given away over eight days of action.
All the EPT fans will have a chance to join the action themselves and battle it out for valuable WCOOP tickets, with the iconic online tournament series starting on September 8 and running until October 2, offering millions of dollars in prize money and hundreds of prestigious WCOOP champion titles.
Join EPT Barcelona Streams for Freeroll Passwords
It is not every day that you can play a $2,500 freeroll tournament without any deposit or gameplay requirements, but PokerStars.com will be giving you this opportunity the first week of September.
The PokerStars Live action is already underway in Barcelona, and poker fans from all over the world will get to see the best of it for free via PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channels, where live streams will be running from September 1.
Each day, the live stream commentators will reveal a password during the stream, and that password will be your key to enter the daily freeroll, where $2,500 in WCOOP tournament tickets will be up for grabs.
Unlike many other freeroll tournaments, these events will have no additional requirements, as old and new PokerStars players can join in as long as they have the right password.
Tune into the EPT live streams between September 1 and 8, get your hands on each daily password, and play for a total of $20,000 in WCOOP 2024 tournament tickets.

EPT Barcelona in Full Swing
Twenty years ago, PokerStars threw the first event EPT Barcelona and Alexander Stevic took home a modest €80,000 first-place prize for his efforts. Since then, EPT Barcelona has transformed into something much bigger, with the most recent champion Simon Wiciak winning $1,134,375 for his efforts at the same event.
This year’s anniversary edition of EPT Barcelona is expected to be bigger and better than any that came before it, and the action is already underway in preparations for the Main Event.
The popular Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event, which typically accompanies EPT events in this part of Europe, started a few of days ago and already attracted thousands of runners over its multiple Day 1 flights.
The action also started for the high rollers, who jumped into the €20,000 NLH event in the dozens, including poker pros like Patrik Antonius, Erik Seidel, and Jesse Lonis, wealthy businessmen like Santhosh Suvarna, and celebrities from other spheres like the FC Barcelona legend Gerard Pique.
They will all be preparing for the Main Event festivities, which start on September 1 and run until September 8, with a whole host of events with varying buyins played on the sidelines.
In just a few days’ time, you will be able to watch all the action from EPT Barcelona live on PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channels, as the operator brings us all the action from the Tour’s key events.
WCOOP 2024 around the Corner
The fall is typically a busy season for poker players coming off the back of the WSOP, with EPT Barcelona and WCOOP running back-to-back.
This year’s most prestigious online poker tournament series starts the same day that EPT Barcelona comes to a close, and brings nearly a full month of non-stop furious action across all buyin levels.
With events ranging from $5.50 to $25,000, WCOOP is the most comprehensive tournament series you can play from the comfort of your home, and one that few poker tournament aficionados will want to miss.
The WCOOP will give away at least $80 million over 379 events this year, along with 12 World Champion titles for winners of the key Championship events in different poker disciplines.
Whether you are looking to play typical NLH tournaments, chase the bounties in PKO and Mystery Bounty events, or show off your mixed game skills, the WCOOP 2024 will be one of the best opportunities you will get this year.
You could play some of the most exciting events of the festival for free if you join the EPT Barcelona freerolls next week and win your share of $2,500 in WCOOP 2024 tickets without any risk.
Tune into the EPT Barcelona streams to watch the best players in the world ply their trade, learn from watching them, and join the action yourself to have a chance at playing this year’s WCOOP free of charge.
