There will be plenty of photographic moments at this year’s Goose Day activities.

Honk! Honk! Happy Goose Day! Well, Sunday is officially the annual Goose Day holiday in the Juniata Valley.

Don’t forget to eat your goose. Seriously, that’s how you celebrate this time-honored tradition. Eat geese.

Goose Day — which has become more like a three-day weekend — is always a good excuse for a drone light show that illuminates the skies over downtown Lewistown. If biking is more your style, there’s the Goose Day Gravel Ride.

Get your wings flapping by checking out the Juniata Valley YMCA, 105 First Ave., Burnham for various fun-filled activities or take your mark for the 46th Annual Goose Day 5K.

Or if you want something a little more sedentary, either the Rubber Duck Race or Jack’s Mountain Hawk Watch might be more appealing. Whatever you end up doing, don’t forget to feast on one of those geese.

Visit www.jrvvisitors.com and check out the Goose Day list to find out what restaurants are serving goose dinners to secure your luck, or get more information about the activities on tap.
