The World Series of Poker has finally announced this year’s online bracelet series, which will run alongside the live summer series.
The schedule is extensive, featuring 30 online bracelet events for players in New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan. This marks the first time Michigan will join NJ and NV in these bracelet events through a new shared liquidity network. Pennsylvania will also take part in a separate series of 7 events, up from last year’s 6.
For players in Michigan, New Jersey, and Nevada, the series runs from June 1 to July 21, with events running nearly every day. The Pennsylvania series begins on June 2, with one bracelet event every Sunday until July 14.
On Saturday, WSOP confirmed it was connecting its Michigan player pool with the existing Nevada/New Jersey network. The change will happen on Monday, but players in NV/NJ are recommended to pre-register on the new software so their accounts are automatically migrated over when the change goes into effect.
Key Information WSOP 2024 Online Bracelet Schedule:
- Runs from June 1 to July 21 (MI, NJ and NV)
- 30 events with buy-ins ranging from $333 to $10,000
- Debut of Mystery Bounties, PKOs, and a Multi-Day
- Return of hybrid online-live format for High Rollers
- Series to run on WSOP new software for NJ and NV players
This announcement ends the long wait for players eager to know the online bracelet schedule. While the live series schedule was released in mid-February, the online component was delayed.
The delay in the announcement was due to the merger of Michigan into WSOP’s existing shared liquidity network with Nevada and New Jersey. WSOP waited for this development to get the green light before revealing the tri-state shared series.
Not only will there be more players competing in the bracelet series, but for the first time, New Jersey and Nevada players will compete on the newer Poker 8 software.
WSOP 2024 Online Bracelet Series Highlights
Compared to last year’s schedule, the number of events has increased by 50%, from 20 to 30, due to the expanded player pool, giving WSOP the confidence to support more events.
With the new software, there are many firsts: Mystery Bounties, Progressive Knockouts, a Multi-Phase event, and a $10,000 buy-in WSOP Online Championship event — taking place right after the live Main Event.
While not entirely unprecedented, WSOP has implemented guarantees on certain events, a rarity. However, all guarantees have been placed on Mystery Bounty events, a decision driven by the unique format of these tournaments.
This year’s buy-ins offer a diverse range, spanning from $400 to $1000 for most events, with the schedule introducing several new price points. The average buy-in has increased to $1480 from last year’s $1070.
Notable events include the $1 million guaranteed Mystery Bounty on June 2 with a $500 buy-in, followed by another $1 million guaranteed Mystery Bounty Championship on July 7 with a $1000 buy-in. The beloved Triple Treys, featuring a $333 buy-in, and the $1000 NL Online Championship also make a return.
Also sure to be a spectacle will be the $400 Colossus, featuring four Day 1s, marking the first-ever multi-phase online event in the US market.
On the higher end, four High Roller events boast price points of either $3200 or $5300, alongside the debut of the $10,000 WSOP Online Championship event. Each of these events will follow a hybrid online-live format, culminating in a live final table in Las Vegas.
Other standout events include the $1000 Freezeout, Crazy 8’s with an $888 price tag, a $400 buy-in Progressive Knockout (PKO), a 6-handed Online Championship with a $1000 buy-in, a $500 Summer Saver, and Crazy 8’s Encore to conclude the series.
Altogether, the schedule features four Mystery Bounty events, including a PLO version, along with three Progressive Knockouts (PKOs), seven Championship events, and just one freezeout.
The schedule also comprises a couple of non-bracelet events, such as the 25 Seat Scramble, which awards 25 seats to the Main Event, each costing $215 to enter.
With 30 online bracelets and 99 live bracelets, there will be a total of 129 events, making it the largest number ever offered in a single series for players located in Nevada.
Last year, the WSOP 2023 online bracelet series awarded over $20 million in prizes, averaging just over $1 million per event. The whole series paid out over $400 million across 125 events.
The WSOP 2024 online series kicks off on June 1 and runs through July 21.
