LAKE CITY, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis held a news conference in Lake City on Tuesday announcing millions of dollars for small county governments and rural infrastructure.
The $122 million “awards” are part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) and the Small County Resurfacing Assistance Program (SCRAP), with one-third of the funds going to rural communities, according to a news release.
