Global Poker offers ‘Unfold the Present’ holiday event

Must read

Leading sweeps-based online poker site Global Poker has launched its ‘Unfold the Present‘ holiday promotion, featuring month-long satellites and freerolls into a pair of December 26 tournaments in which major prizes will be awarded.

The Unfold the Present qualifiers have already begun and will continue through December 26, in parallel frameworks for Global’s base Gold Coin and bonus Sweeps Coin currencies. The 25 days’ worth of qualifiers feed into the two December 26 final events: On the Gold Coin side, the final will pay out GC 200,000,000 to the winners, while in the bonus Sweeps Coin event, SC 500,000 will be at stake.

Neither of the two December 26 finals allows direct buy-ins, so players must win their way in by earning an entry ticket in one of the ongoing qualifier tourneys. Both of the finals will be mystery-bounty, eight-handed events.

Global Poker will offer 500K SC in guarantees over 25 days.

Extended qualifying framework into final events

Entry tickets into the twin December 26 finales are available multiple times each day. These entry tickets into the finales are available in special ‘Stage 1’ events that are being offered each Sunday and on several other days just before and including December 26. Players can enter either the GC or SC Stage 1 qualifiers directly, with the Gold Coin buy-in being GC 99,000 (90,000 + 9,000) and the sweeps-coins buy-in being SC 99 (90 + 9).

For the Sweeps Coin finale on December 26, one in seven entrants will reach the ‘money’ spots, after mystery-bounty prizes have been awarded and deducted from the prize pool. The Gold Coin finale will offer a similar structure.

Players can qualifier only one time for each of the Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins finales. Entry tickets are non-transferable, nor can they be cashed out should a ticket holder choose not to play, with no-show players likely being blinded off if not present. More rules and conditions are available at Global Poker’s dedicated Unwrap the Present landing page.
