Fox News host Jesse Watters has sparked fierce debate after calling out Doug Emhoff for grocery shopping – insinuating it is not a masculine activity for ‘real men.’
On Thursday, the controversial host, 46, responded to a video which showed former Vice President Kamala Harris grocery shopping with her husband.
‘The New York Post caught her grocery shopping with Doug E. Fresh,’ Watters said in the Fox News clip, showing the former Second Gentleman at the checkout with Harris at the Los Angeles store.
‘What kind of husband goes grocery shopping with his wife?’ he asked incredulously.
Watters has previously hit out against men drinking milkshakes, taking a bath, eating ice cream in public and using straws, declaring the activities as lacking masculinity.
Watters’ take sparked a furious debate on social media, with some agreeing with his explosive take and others pointing out that a man going grocery shopping is not unusual.
‘The kind of man that loves his wife and enjoys her company. Unfortunately, that’s not the kind of men that Fox News employs. And it stinks!’ one user responded.
‘Lots of husbands in fact some even do the shopping alone without their wives,’ pointed out another.

‘I know it must be hard to understand but a bit of shopping or helping your wife won’t diminish your masculinity,’ the user added.
‘If anything, it’s a mark of confidence, not weakness. Some people clearly need to catch up with the times!’ added someone else.
But others voiced their support for the Fox News host.
‘Libs heads exploding because Jesse Watters bodied Doug Emhoff,’ one user snarked.
‘Jesse Watters is a MAGA role model,’ declared another.
In September, the divisive host attempted to mock Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for being photographed drinking a milkshake with a straw.
‘Women love masculinity and women do not love Tim Walz,’ Watters declared. ‘So that should just tell you about how masculine Tim Walz is.’
‘The other day you saw him with a vanilla ice cream shake. Had a straw in it. Again, that tells you everything,’ he added mockingly.
Harris and Emhoff, who have been married for 10 years, put on a united front during a trip to the 99 Ranch Market in Los Angeles on Thursday, amid rumors the former Second Couple’s marriage is on the rocks.
Sources told DailyMail.com on Wednesday that she may now believe Emhoff is ‘dead weight’ due to a bombshell scandal over getting his child’s nanny pregnant.

Just before the election, which saw Donald Trump voted in as the 47th President of the United States, Watters criticized a commercial which encourages women to hide their vote, suggesting going against your spouse with your vote was like an affair.
The ad, produced by Vote Common Good, a non-profit organization aimed at mobilizing religious voters, encouraging wives of Donald Trump supporters to quietly vote for Kamala Harris.
The advert, which featured Academy Award winner Julia Roberts endorsing Harris, sparked conservative backlash online, with some accusing it of undermining marital unity and sparking mistrust.
Watters criticized the ad both on The Five and his own show, Thursday, saying it would be ‘D-Day’ if his second wife, Emma DiGiovine, voted for Harris.
‘That violates the sanctity of our marriage,’ he insisted. ‘What else is she keeping from me? What is she lying about?’
