Full real-name results have not yet been released, so for now, the winner of the 2024 World Series of Poker Online $25,000 GGMillion$ Super High Roller Championship will be known only by their screen name: ‘forzaitalia’.
They were the only player among the final nine to not have a real name associated with their account. As one might expect, the other eight players included many of the most accomplished tournament pros in the game, including four-time bracelet winner Adrian Mateos (6th), all-time tournament earnings leader Bryn Kenney (3rd), and two-time bracelet winner Chris Brewer (2nd).
This tournament attracted 230 total entries, with 140 unique players and 90 re-entries, resulting in a prize pool of $5,635,000.
Seven-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu live-streamed his play in this event, which saw him knocked out shortly after registration closed. He got the last of his short stack in with top pair of kings with a jack kicker against a flopped set of sevens for eventual fourth-place finisher Patrick Leonard, who was looking for his second career bracelet. Negreanu turned two pair to give him outs for a higher full house, but bricked out on the river and was eliminated short of the money.

High-stakes regulars like three-time Triton Poker champion Matthias Eibinger (18th), four-time bracelet winner David Peters (17th), and 2017 Super High Roller Bowl champion Christoph Vogelsang (11th) all ran deep, but fell short of the final table.
Bracelet winner and two-time World Poker Tour champion Ole Schemion bowed out in eighth place, earning $181,914. He was followed to the virtual rail by bracelet winner and 2024 Triton Jeju main event winner Roman Hrabec (7th – $235,914).
Mateos, who currently leads the 2024 Card Player Player of the Year race with three titles and 17 final-table finishes, was knocked out in sixth place ($305,942). This online event will not count towards his POY earnings on the year, which already sit at more than $9.6 million.
Bracelet winner and European Poker Tour champion Dimitar Danchev earned $396,758 as the fifth-place finisher. Leonard was close behind, earning $514,531 for his fourth-place showing.
Kenney, whose nearly $67.3 in recorded earnings leads tops poker’s all-time money list, cashed for $667,265 as the third-place finisher.
It came down to a heads-up clash between Brewer and ‘forzaitalia’. Brewer won his two bracelets in 2023, taking down the $250,000 buy-in event for a career-best score of $5.3 million and then following that up with a win in the $10,000 no-limit deuce-to-seven single draw lowball championship for another $367,599. The American poker pro and former collegiate distance runner ultimately finished as the runner-up, making ‘forzaitalia’ the champion.
