Fashion Faux Pas Headlines Bumper Inglis Digital Sale

Must read

Dual United States listed winner Fashion Faux Pas  headlines a bumper Inglis Digital January catalog of 519 lots.

The 9-year-old daughter of Flatter is carrying a foal by Snitzel  and the resulting offspring will be a sibling to the Newgate Farm-consigned colt who was purchased for AU$1.7 million (US$1,056,152) by Tom Magnier at last week’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Being offered for sale by Newgate, Fashion Faux Pas was bought by James Harron and Byron Rogers on behalf of Belinda Bateman for $310,000 at the 2020 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

“This is an opportunity not to be taken for granted by anyone who is serious about breeding elite standard stock in Australasia,” said Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch.

“Snitzel is one of the most accomplished stallions in the recent history of the Australian Thoroughbred and access to mares carrying pregnancies to him from the 2024 season is going to be extremely limited.

“She is a good-looking young mare with a proper pedigree that is breeding good-looking stock—she has got a lot of blue sky in front of her.

“The Snitzel offspring of this mare are bred on a similar cross to that which produced (grade 1 winner) Switzerland which is yet another reason to approach an opportunity like this with real confidence.”

Fashion Faux Pas’ filly foal by Extreme Choice is being retained for the 2026 yearling sales.

The first Inglis Digital sale of 2025 will see 519 lots offered—311 racehorses (131 race fillies), 83 broodmares, 81 racehorse shares, 42 yearlings, one unbroken stock, and one stallion.
