Entertainment News: UB40 in Hawaii, Kalani Pe’a GRAMMY prep, Hollywood Squares debut

Many new films that would have opened in movie theaters just a few years ago can now be seen only on streaming platforms. A good example is the Warner Brothers movie, JUROR #2 from director Clint Eastwood which had its debut on HBO MAX. JUROR #2 is an engaging, thought provoking courtroom drama that focuses on a juror with a serious moral dilemma. Early in a murder trial he suddenly realizes that he, not the defendant, might be responsible for the victim’s death. Anyone who watches JUROR #2 will have to consider this question: If you were this man’s predicament, what would you do? (With Nicholas Holt, Toni Collette, & J.K. Simmons.)
What really amazes me about JUROR #2 is that at age 94, after over half a century in films as both actor and director, Clint Eastwood is still capable of making such a fine movie. (Max, $5.99 on Apple TV and Amazon, $6.99 Spectrum on Demand)
