District level under 14 sports competition for boys and girls was concluded last evening at Government Model Senior Secondary School Junga. In which Junga School dominated in the hockey competition for boys and girls. In this four day sports competition, 310 girl students from 13 education blocks of the district and 380 boy players from 14 education blocks participated. In hockey competition for girl students, Government Senior Secondary School Junga got first place and Khaira got second place and in basketball SPS Sarahan got first place and Junga School got second place. Similarly, in athletics, Rohru and Shimla blocks got first and second place respectively and in folk dance competition, Mashobra got first place and Rohru got second place. In group singing, Rohru and Rampur got first and second place respectively. Principal Suman Chandel awarded the winner and runner up students.
Similarly, in the hockey competition in the boys category, Government Senior Secondary School Junga secured first place and Sunni second. In basketball, SPS Sarahan of Rampur block secured first place and Dopda second and in football, Junga secured first place and Duttnagar second. In boxing, SPS Tutikandi secured first place and Rohru second. In folk dance competition, Mashobra block secured first place and Sunni block secured second and in group singing, Mashobra secured first place and Rohru second. Junga School’s Vice Principal Anuradha Sharma awarded the winner and runner-up players.
In his address, Principal Suman Chandel expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries for their cooperation in the successful organisation of this competition. Physical teachers and players from various education blocks ensured their participation in this sports competition. On this occasion, children made the programme attractive by presenting colourful cultural programmes.
