Daniel Negreanu had to wait more than a decade between winning his sixth and seventh World Series of Poker bracelets. His sixth came back at the 2023 WSOP Europe, while his seventh was earned this summer in the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship.
While the gap between his sixth and seventh bracelet wins lasted 3,899 days, the 50-year-old poker pro came quite close to winning his eighth bracelet just 106 days after taking down the PPC.
Negreanu was the chip leader throughout much of the 2024 WSOP Online $500 pot-limit Omaha six-max event, according to his accounts on social media.

While he sat atop the leaderboard heading into the final 10, he ultimately was knocked out in sixth place for a $6,125.62 payday.
Full real-name results for this event have not yet been posted. The bracelet was ultimately captured by Matthew ‘The_founder’ Davis, who earned $31,445.03 and the hardware after defeating ‘EndBoss444’ heads-up. Davis is a poker player from Michigan who previously took down the 2022 Mid-States Poker Tour Michigan State Poker Championship. This was his first bracelet win.
Negreanu has more than $53 million in career tournament earnings to his name, which is good for seventh place on poker’s all-time money list. He is one of just nine players who have surpassed the $50 million mark in lifetime cashes.
