The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) continues all this month on PokerStars, and there’s still time for players to get involved in this prestigious online poker festival.

The best way to get involved is through online satellites that are now available in the PokerStars client. Almost two weeks into the festival, there has been some crazy return on investment (ROI) from satellite winners, including WCOOP champions and people winning tens of thousands of dollars in prize money.

Here, we check out some of the big winners from PokerStars online tournament satellites.

4.5 million % ROI for “maticalabro” in $5,200 6-Max World Championship

You may have to get your calculators out for this one.

The 2024 WCOOP schedule features 12 Championship events, with the 6-Max World Championship coming with a $5,200 buy-in.

The event was won by Lithuania’s “Mikensonas” after a three-way deal with 2021 SCOOP Main Event champion “kZhh” and Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, but spare a thought for Argentina’s “maticalabro”.

Not only did they finish fifth for $68,177, but they did it from a $1.50 satellite. If you crunch the numbers, that’s a ROI of more than 4.5 million!

“Carlos levis” finishes runner-up in WCOOP 51-H: $5,200 Super Tuesday

Satellites are perfect for getting into some of the High Roller and bigger buy-in events that make up the WCOOP schedule, including the Super Tuesday. As one of the most popular events for high roller players, it can lead to some big paydays, and that’s exactly what happened for Carlos “Carlos levis” Ribeiro.

He satellites into the WCOOP 51-H: $5,200 Super Tuesday High Roller for $530, and finished second to “I Attack95” for $101,045.
