EXTENDED FORECAST – We get one more day of pleasant temperatures on Friday with highs aimed for the middle 80s. Isolated showers and T-Storms are expected to pass slowly across eastern New Mexico and portions of the Texas panhandle Friday morning and afternoon. They will likely stay below severe limits, but with how much water there is in the atmosphere from what is left of Alberto, heavy downpours will be possible leading to localized flooding. Saturday will be a warmer afternoon with temperatures in the 90s. Isolated PM T-Storms will be possible in the south/central Texas panhandle. Hot weather is going to return next week. Temperatures could flirt with 100 degrees in the afternoons next week which is the main story for the time being. We are also watching for some northwest flow aloft Wednesday into next weekend. Some isolated to scattered T-Storms look to be possible Wednesday and Thursday. Make sure you stay hydrated if outside and take frequent breaks as needed. Light-weight and loose-fitting cloths are better than tight restricting clothes if trying to stay cool. Remain Weather Ready!
