WEATHER SUMMARY

TYPICAL SPRING UPS AND DOWN THROUGH THE WEEK IN BOTH TEMPERATURE AND SKY CONDITIONS – SHOWER CHANCES AT TIMES
An approaching warm front will touch off some additional light showers overnight as it moves through putting us into a much warmer air mass for Tuesday. Temperatures Tuesday will spike well into the 70s with a few low 80s under a strong May sun. The sun, however, will mix with some building clouds through the day with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening, especially across the northern half of the region and Vermont.

Additional showers are then likely as a cold front stalls close by and an area of low pressure develops and passes to our south from Tuesday night into Thursday. Temperatures will fall back on Wednesday as a result of the clouds and more of an easterly flow with highs ranging from the 60s to around 70 degrees.

And with systems in the atmosphere moving slowly right now, the low that develops to our south on Wednesday could remain in close enough proximity to keep us in a fairly cloudy and cool easterly flow with some additional showers well into the day Thursday with some late day drying and clearing.

Brighter weather will return on Friday with temperatures well into the 70s with a split call on the weekend as it appears right now, with shower returning on Saturday and dry weather for Sunday.
