Consortium Advantage Travel Partnership has appointed Simon Ferguson as its new technology advisor for its global business travel division.
US-based Ferguson is currently a senior vice president at technology provider Modaxo and previously worked in various senior roles at Travelport.
In his new position, Ferguson will initially help Advantage’s business travel division with its “strategic direction of technology adoption” and offer support with assessing new and upcoming technology enhancements. He will act as an independent advisor working with Stephen Baxendale, the consortium’s technology partnership manager.
Andrea Caulfield-Smith, managing director of global business travel at Advantage, said: “We are delighted that Simon has accepted this new role that will see him provide insight, skill and experience across our technology agenda, and ensure informed choices are made and continually pressure tested to ensure that our technology direction is fit for purpose and relevant.
“He will also assist with unlocking opportunities to elevate and amplify Advantage across the ecosystem with technology discussions, panels and steering group activity.”
Advantage was ranked at the third largest TMC network in Europe in the list of Europe’s Leading TMCs 2024.
