EasyJet targets British Airways loyalty club members with new promotion

Must read

EasyJet has launched a new promotion targeting members of British Airways’ Executive Club loyalty scheme.

The UK-based budget carrier is offering half-price annual membership of its own easyJet Plus programme for BA Gold, Silver and Bronze card holders under the promotional title of “No more tiers”. Annual easyJet Plus membership usually costs £249 but it is now on offer to BA Executive Club members for £122.

The move comes after BA stoked the ire of its Executive Club members when it announced plans in December for travellers to gain status points based on annual spend levels rather than distance travelled. The backlash from customers forced BA to roll back some of these planned changes earlier this month.

Members of easyJet Plus receive benefits such as “speedy” boarding, a larger cabin bag, dedicated bag drop, seat selection and priority access through security at some airports.

EasyJet’s new CEO Kenton Jarvis, who features in BTN Europe’s The 2025 Hotlist, said the airline launched its latest loyalty promotion because it valued customers “who choose to fly with us time and time again”.

“Our easyJet Plus members benefit from the flexibility membership provides alongside perks they really value and can access immediately each and every time they fly with us,” added Jarvis. “That’s why we wanted to extend this offer so even more frequent flyers can enjoy the benefits.”

The airline has also recently rolled out easyJet Plus for Business, which allows companies to buy, allocate and manage multiple memberships on behalf of their employees.
