Simonne Lucille (Caron) Bouchard, 99, died on February 7, 2025, in Manchester, NH, She was born to Laurette McNichol Caron and Patrick Caron in Nashua, NH on December 29, 1925. A life-long resident of the Gate City, she attended local schools and survived significant events such as the Depression, the epic hurricane of 1938 and World War II. After the war, while working in the Jackson Mills, where she met and married a fellow Nashuan, the late Bertrand J. Bouchard.

Simonne lived over fifty years on French Hill, raising her family, supporting Bertrand’s aldermanic ambitions and camping every summer from Nova Scotia to Florida. She was active in the Scouting movement and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church on Chandler Street. In the late sixties, she returned to the workforce, first as Secretary to the Guidance Department at the Nashua Senior High School until her retirement as a clerical worker for Sanders Associates on Canal Street in Nashua. In 2013, Simonne moved to Nashua’s Coliseum Avenue Retirement community before spending her final years at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester. Later in life, her primary joys were her grandchildren and cheering on the Red Sox.

Simonne is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Sullivan and her husband, Michael of Merrimack, son, Marc Bouchard and his wife, Kathy of Nashua; and four grandchildren, Lindsay Sullivan (and her husband Brice Dunwoodie) of Guerneville CA, Shaun Sullivan of Hampton NH, Jack Bouchard (and his wife Cheryl) of Highland Park NJ, and Jean-Luc Bouchard of Greensboro NC. She is predeceased by her parents, step-father Leon Marshall, sister, Rita, brother, Andre (Aimee) Caron and husband Bertrand.

SERVICES: A private funeral service will held at the convenience of the family.
