Players at ACR Poker have a chance to flip their way to a share of a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool in February. Survivor Flips are a new exclusive tournament offering on the site with events running Feb. 5-23.
Grabbing a seat in the tournament takes less than 5 minutes. Here’s a quick look at how to get in the Flips action.
Phase 1
Eight players join a Survivor Flips game, kicking off with a countdown timer. Three hole cards are dealt to each player with all discarding one within 20 seconds. After discarding, the flop, turn, and river are dealt automatically and the player with the worst hand is eliminated.
The process repeats until just one player remains and moves on to Phase 2. Phase 1 events run 24/7 and step satellites are available for as little as $4. Those who advance in the satellites can climb all the way up to a $230 Phase 1 buy-in. Players can also skip the steps and jump right into Phase 1 by buying in for $230.
Phase 2
There are no direct buy-ins to this phase, which is set for Feb. 23 at 2:05 p.m. (ET). All players begin with an equal chip stack, competing in a small-field, no-limit hold’em tournament.
Players making it to Phase 2 are already in the money and Phase 1 is the only way to advance to this level.
Finding Survivor Flips
Those looking to get into the action should navigate to the Survivor Flips tab under Satellites in the poker client. The Survivor Flips Phase 2 event is also pinned at the top of the MTT (multi-tale tournament) section. A pop-up box on the right will show all available step satellites and Phase 1 games.
