Cena makes a definitive statement.
The final two in the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble featured Jey Uso and John Cena. It was Uso last eliminating Cena to secure a World Championship match at WrestleMania 41.
Cena made an appearance at the post-show press conference and said he was not fielding questions and was just going to make a statement.
He expressed that he wanted this experience to be a tour of goodwill and always wanted to do what’s best for business, but it just dawned on him that what’s best for business is he wins a 17th World Championship and main events WrestleMania.
He declared for the men’s Elimination Chamber on March 1st in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Cena added that he’ll give his opponents in the match a month to slander his name as he’ll be filming a movie in Hungary.
Later in the press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque said Cena has earned the right to call his shot.
