Lee Robert Caron, 92, died peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Marcia (Chase) Caron with whom he shared 56 years of marriage until her passing on December 15, 2016.
Lee was born in Salem, Massachusetts on February 17, 1932, and was the son of the late Leo and Eglantine (Tremblay) Caron. He received his education in Salem Massachusetts graduating from St. Joseph Academy. He continued higher education by attending and graduating from Lowell Tech in Lowell Massachusetts with a Masters degree, class of 1960.
Lee was employed as a chemical engineer for his entire career. Lee came to Nashua NH in 1967 to work for Sanders Associates. Lee retired from A.W. Chesterton located in Woburn Massachusetts.
Lee was an avid reader of history/war, travel and anything French. He loved to travel, having many fond memories with his late wife, Marica, seeing the world. They made many friends on cruises. Lee led an active lifestyle, walking, biking, swimming, and he had a passion for playing tennis. He attributed his active lifestyle to being able to enjoy a long and fulfilling life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Club Richelieu in Nashua. Playing an instrumental part in helping the committee to erect the “La Dame de Notre Renaissance Française Statue” located in the Le Parc De Notre Renaissance Française on Water Street in downtown Nashua NH. He was a member of the L’eclectique Coterie group held at Barnes & Noble in Nashua NH. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family who he loved deeply. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
Lee is survived by his four children, Bryan Caron of Nashua, Guy Caron and his wife Jill (Grant) of Nashua, Gail (Caron) Rheaume and her husband Ronald of Bedford, and Fran Marie (Caron) Miele and her husband Gerald of Nashua; his seven grandchildren, Trisha Lott and her husband Dan, Marc Perkins, Chase Perkins and his wife Emilia, Miranda Davenport and her husband Tyler, Bryce Caron, Samantha Miele, and Cameron Miele. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Kaz, Wilder, and Olive; his two sisters, Marie Lennox of Sanbornton, NH and Claudette L’heureux of Deering, NH as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Marcia, he was predeceased by his son Marc Leo Caron and his sister Yolande Driscoll.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lee’s visitation on TUESDAY, December 3rd from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua NH.
His Funeral Mass will be held on WEDNESDAY, December 4th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment and presentation of military honors will be held at a later date at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen NH.
