Adam Hendrix Wins PGT Texas PLO Roundup High Roller Title

Adam Hendrix has surpassed $7 million in career poker tournament earnings thanks to his latest win on the live circuit. The Alaskan poker pro topped a field of 23 entries in the first of three 2024 PokerGO Tour Texas PLO Roundup $5,1000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha high rollers, securing $51,750 for the win.

This was the 10th recorded title for Hendrix, who now has 262 in-the-money finishes to his name.

Hendrix also secured 52 PGT points as the champion. This was his second qualifying score of 2024.

This event ran on Friday Nov. 22 at Champions Club Texas in Houston. The $115,000 prize pool was paid out among the top four finishers.

Arieh made a king-high straight to guarantee himself and the other three remaining contenders at least $12,650 for their efforts.

Orod Ashegh was awarded just that amount when his top and bottom pair on the flop was bested by a wrap for Hendrix, who made broadway on the river. Ashegh was soon joined on the rail by Arieh, who got all-in with top and bottom pair and the nit flush draw against middle set for Hendrix. The river improved Hendrix to quads, ending Arieh’s run in third place ($18,400). Arieh’s career earnings sit at over $13.4 million.

With that, Hendrix took roughly a 9:5 chip lead into heads-up play with Sean Rafael. The final hand of the tournament saw all the chips go in after a 10Spade Suit8Diamond Suit4Spade Suit flop with Hendrix holding QSpade SuitQDiamond Suit10Club Suit6Spade Suit up against JHeart Suit8Club Suit7Diamond Suit5Diamond Suit for Rafael. The turn brought the 5Heart Suit to give Rafael eights and fives, but the 4Heart Suit improved Hendrix to queens and fours for the win.

Rafael cashed for $32,200 as the runner-up. He now has more than $442,000 in lifetime tournament earnings.
