This past Friday, October 25, PokerStars crowned a new Spin & Go millionaire after Belarus-based player ‘Zherminal’ won the $1,000,000 top prize in a three-person Spin & Go tournament.
‘Zherminal’ and his two opponents – ‘derom01’ and ‘mari_farah15’ – each put up the $5 buy-in for the Spin & Go tournament and, moments later, found themselves battling for the $1,000,000 jackpot after triggering the top tier 240,000x multiplier. With $120,000 and $80,000 for the second and third place finishers respectively, the three players were each guaranteed a substantial payday.
The final hand of the battle came after several minutes of heads-up play. On a flop of 
, the two players stuck all the chips in the middle and ‘Zherminal’ had the best of it with a flopped straight, holding 
. His opponent, runner-up ‘derom01’, had outs to a flush with 
, but the

river completed the board to leave ‘Zherminal’ with the winning hand.
With the win, ‘Zherminal’, who has recorded over 1,000,000 hands on PokerStars, became the 45th millionaire crowned via the site’s Spin & Go tournaments. The quickfire online format will transition to the live arena at EPT Prague this December, when the first Spin & Go World Championship takes place.
