Near record warmth through the weekend

We made it to the weekend Gulf Coast! Overall, we won’t see too many changes from what we had to close the workweek.

Saturday will start cool with the potential of patchy fog. Temperatures will warm quickly and by the heart of the afternoon, highs will range in the mid to upper 80s. Temperatures will fall back to comfortable ranges again Saturday night, then we’re right back to highs in the mid to upper 80s on Sunday. Skies both days will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy.

In Mobile the record high for Saturday is 87 while the record on Sunday is 88. There’s an outside chance we hit 90 this weekend and if we do, that would be the latest we would have seen a 90 day on record. The latest as of right now is October 23rd.

By Monday a weak front will move in. This will help drop our temperatures slightly. Through most of next week, we’ll see highs range in the low to mid 80s as lows range mainly in the 60s thanks to a slight uptick in humidity. Rain chances look to remain low, but by the second half of next week, isolated showers can’t be ruled out. A more active pattern looks possible in the 6-10 day window.

At the beach we’ll see a low risk of rip currents through Sunday. The rip current risk looks like it will rise early next week.

TROPICS: The tropics are quiet as no development is expected in the next 7 days!
